Green Means GO!

My first run for 2011. All I see is green, green, green.

While the 1st quarter of 2010 had me fulfill my full marathon dream (twice!), my runs after that were mostly mediocre in distance and performance. Since my competitive streak was somewhat satisfied, I ran just because I enjoyed it. And truly, it was fun. Hey, I'm not complaining. But it's true what they say, after you reach your goal- what's next?

So, this 2011, I'm starting the year with a distance that will push me a bit out of my comfort zone (but not too drastic, seeing that I'm still a LOT out of shape). Plus, I'm looking at a new marathon goal to accomplish (a lot of my friends are running more full marys and breaking awesome PRs).

Yep, I'm seeing green. Okay, maybe a little out of envy, but mostly it means GO! ;)

See you on the 15K route on Sunday!

The Greentennial Run for a cause

The Greentennial Run which is set on the 23rd of January 2011 at the sprawling Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City covers four categories namely 3k, 5k, 10k, and 15k. Registration fee is pegged at Php 500 including a race package.

Renowned and reputable running organizer Mr. Thumbie Remigio will call the lead shots for the run hosted by the La Salle Greenhills Batch 1986.

Proceeds of the run will go to the Greentennial Archers Scholarship Fund which aims to send deserving, young yet underprivileged youth to decent schools for them to have a bright future.
