Keep On Running and Hanger On

My takbo.ph Medal Hanger
Meet my new running motivator!

Finally got down to posting about my new medal hanger (I've had this hanging for a few days now), after I finally got down to displaying my medals on the hanger (I've had this hanger for a few weeks now). haha

I call this my "Blood, Sweat, & Tears" medal hanger. I'm exclusively filling it up with only full marathons (42K), ultra marathons (50K), and Doggie Run medals.

The "Blood" is for the ultra, because I got my first ever running injury when I did my first run over 42K last year. The "Sweat" is for the full marathons, because, well, you know, it's really hard! And the "Tears" is for the Doggie Run races, because although it was only 1.5/3/5K distances, organizing a race is a bitch! (That's female dog to those unfamiliar with canine lingo.) The first time we held it and encountered a major snafu, I just walked around in a daze for an hour and cried! It's all good now. I'm glad I went through that stress. It taught me to believe in myself, the rest of the team, and to just carry on. The Doggie Run series is going strong on its 4th year, and it's true what they say about whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger! But I digress. Let's go back to the hanger.

I can't wait to fill this baby up! As you can see, I have a loooong way to go. I have a couple of marathons that I'm registered for this year, so DNF (Did Not Finish) is not an option! I keep seeing the empty slots and wanting to sign up for the next big run. haha. OC-ness... How's that for motivation? ;)

Oh, I got this nifty little paraphernalia from Takbo.ph (can you spot their logo?). It comes in black or white finish, and can hold up to 30 medals. You can order  your very own running motivator here
