This weekend has surprisingly been of all things Deutsch...
Klima Fun Run 2010 (October 9, 2010)
I HAVE A FREE 10K RACE KIT 4 TOM. U WANT?
With today's race registration prices... Hell, yeah! What a silly question, my friend.
I was running the 10K category, but got to Bonifacio High Street a few minutes late because of a vehicular accident that clogged EDSA. The 10K and 5K runners already had a good head start, and as I ran down the route with the 3K runners, I had to tell myself to slow down before I injure myself by either pulling a muscle OR stabbing myself with a safety pin.
Running along the familiar streets of Fort Bonifacio on a beautiful Saturday morning was fantastic. Dang, I missed running.
And you know what else I missed? Probably a turn. Because just under an hour of leisurely running and 1 water break, I found myself crossing the finish line already. Hmm... the route probably could have used more race markers or marshals, but hey, beggars can't be choosers. Besides, 45 minutes running is still 45 minutes of calories burned.
The Klima Fun Run on October 9, 2010 at Mabuhay Germany 2010, was a joint activity of the Federation of Alumni Groups of Former Scholars to Germany and spearheaded by Carl Duisberg Association of the Philippines (CDAP) in cooperation with the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) for the benefit of Maharlika Madrasah.
- QT with my dog. Imp, is a Dachshund, of German origin and literally means "badger dog", from Dachs ("badger") and Hund ("dog").
- 5 minutes with a blank wall and a bright orange Jägermeister football is a sure cure for stress.
- Snagged a free 10K race kit for the Klima Fun Run 2010 in celebration of Mabuhay Germany 2010.
- German sausages (plus cheeses and chocolates) dinner to cap off a terrific Saturday.
