Lean, Mean, Pacing Machine

With my Nike+ still out of commission (actually, more of M.I.A.- I "misplaced" my shoes- with the running chip still in it) and nary a Garmin in sight, what's a cheapskate to do but improvise.

Meet my latest pacer, Phoebe, my brother's Golden Retriever, who mercilessly forced me to run way too fast, way too soon. So much for smart pacing.
